Participative process previous to Llanes municipality Master Plan

This project came out as the result of a minor contract with the city council of Llanes, an Asturian municipality (northern Spain) that counts on more than 100 towns in a strip of land that encloses in more than 100 square miles mountain landscapes, meadows, plains and steep coasts. It is a project of citizen participation in territorial scale. It reveals contemporary complexities and tensions between forces of globalization and the rural environments. In order to carry out the process, we rely on local knowledge and indigenous government structures, such as neighborhood councils, taking always into account the network of actors existent within this beautiful and complex ecosystem.
