Jardin essentiel

A small pentagon for a neighbour, a giant leap for a community

A collaboration with the inhabitants and urban gardeners that are growing vegetables and fruits in the community garden of Carre Tillens. A temporary space of exchange and projection, has been developed in dialogue with CAPS Uccle, to give local inhabitants an occasion upon which to express their needs and wishes, and develop activities during the summer. For the workshop we recycled the wood from city benches to give them a second live. An urban infrastructure with the form of a pentagon was made as starting point to grow tentacles with different functions according to the needs of the neighbours.

Thanks to IBGE for the materials and to CPAS Uccle for their collaboration and motivation.
